Top down, cruising fast, multi-lane highway, foot down, on the gas, got no time to play.
Big sign, up ahead, exit to the right, tiny little narrow road, to a place called life. I was making good time, thought I was doing fine. But something was calling me to go, down the road.
Ole curiosity, got the best of me. Pulled off on that road, to see what I could see. A Man in sandals, eyes aflame, beckoned me His way. Somehow He knew my name, had something to say.
He said "This road is narrow, but straight as an arrow, only a few will go, down this road."
And it's a long way home, and there's pain and fire here below. And it's a long way home, but there's life at the end of that narrow road.

Don't run away, from the life set before you. He'll show you the way, we're all just pilgrims passing on through.
Hey! Don't refuse to move. Hey! The spirit's inside of you. We're on
this journey with a purpose, His perfect love will not desert us. He takes the filthy, washes and makes it clean. So let the world know!

All of us have a calling, everyone has a gift. We all have a burden, that alone we just can't lift. Sometimes we stand and fight the fight, sometimes we run away. Doesn't matter where you're at, today's a brand new day. You can run but you can't hide, from what you're feeling down deep inside. It's like a fire burning way down in your bones. The only way to get relief is do what you can do, and run the race until the Father calls you home.
It's hard to carry on, standing by yourself. Sometimes we take those dreams ya know, and just put 'em on the shelf. But you can't be afraid, when taking that first step. 'Cause if you don't, well the only one that you're hurting is yourself.
